Abstract
The functional state of eukaryotic genomes is regulated by sequence-specific DNA binding factors and by the packaging state of DNA into chromatin. Dissection of the complex cross-talk of gene regulation and cellular inputs has been substantially aided by the development of chemical tools targeting the various factors and different components involved in these processes.
