During Kaian's Master's and Ph.D program, he designed and characterized peptides to bind to the acidic patch of the nucleosome in order to compete with nucleosome binding proteins and modulate chromatin architecture. To develop this project, he had to apply a plethora of biochemical, biophysical, cell-based, and in vivo techniques.
Now, Kaian is continuing his research as a postdoc fellow at the Chromatin Biochemistry Lab and is excited to join a world-class research institution, where he will have the opportunity to make high-impact science and to experience different cultures. He is looking forward to sharing his experience with others and to make the time spent here extraordinary.
