The Fischle lab proudly announces the graduation of the PhD candidate at KAUST, Dr. Zhadyra Yerkesh.
Zhadyra joined Fischle lab in 2016 as a PhD student of Bioscience program. The overall objective of her doctoral work was to develop ‘designer’ chromatin tools to understand the molecular basis of chromatin post-translational modification-driven events. Using these technologies, she studied the interplay between chromatin and UHRF1 in DNA maintenance methylation in fine detail and depth. Well done Dr. Yerkesh!
After KAUST, she will be joining the laboratory of Prof. Eva Nogales at University of California, Berkeley as a postdoc.
