Moving on - Farewell Dr Sarah Kreuz

21 September, 2021

It is time to bid farewell to another great member of our team, Dr. Sarah Kreuz. Sarah joined the lab at the MPI in Göttingen for few months before moving over to KAUST as one of the very first labmates in 2015. She played a central role in getting everything started at the new Laboratory of Chromatin Biochemistry and has been a center and staple in the group for 6 years. In her work with us, Sarah set up and worked on different projects mostly centered around the enigmatic role of nuclear phosphoinositides (short PIPs) and their role in chromatin regulation. Besides the lab, Sarah got to be known for her great love of animals. She is the first (and likely only ever) team member to have taken up a horse and two dogs besides doing science. Sarah’s balanced mindset and integrating personality has been an inspiration for all of us and she will be dearly missed. We wish her only the best for all future endeavors. Please stay in touch!

And check out the fantastic multicultural feast we had for her farewell!
